Edmonton, May 23, 2024 -  The Yellowknife Ice 18U girls team made their mark at the 2024 Volleyball Nationals in Edmonton, securing a silver medal in their tier!

On day one, the Ice played three intense matches, finishing with a 1-2 record. Each game was tightly contested, demonstrating the team's tenacity and skill.

Day two saw a re-shuffling of teams into new pools based on their records the previous day. The Ice faced three strong teams, including the undefeated Georgian Cubs, pushing the team to their limits.

In the playoffs on Thursday, the Yellowknife Ice excelled, winning both their quarter-final and semi-final matches. The final was a rematch against the Airdrie Hawks, ending in a hard-fought loss with scores of 18-25 and 16-25.

The Yellowknife Ice 18U girls' impressive performance and silver medal finish highlight their dedication all season long.
