2024 Alberta Provincials

The Yellowknife Ice Volleyball Club made their travel team debut at the 2024 Alberta Provincial Championships in Red Deer with a small but mighty team of 8 players. The excitement was palpable as they faced off against tough competition, with setter Raine Mingo leading the way before a knee injury sidelined her for the rest of the weekend. Libero Liz Gillard took on the challenge of setter for the rest of the weekend, showcasing the team's resilience and determination.

Despite only securing one win throughout the tournament, the Ice team displayed exceptional skill and teamwork, leaving with valuable lessons learned and memories made. Each player showed tremendous growth and improvement, making their first tournament outside of Yellowknife a truly unforgettable experience.
